Grace Youth Group is for all those in grades 7th through 12th. Meetings are on Sundays from 9:30am-10:20am year round and on Wednesdays from 6:30pm – 8:00pm during the school year starting on Wednesday, September 13th, 2017. Sunday mornings are an intensive study each week. Wednesday evenings consist of many different aspects of worship including fellowship, music, teaching, and prayer. GYG also does a variety of different events throughout the year, each having their own unique purpose to help students grow in their walks with Christ and build community within the ministry.
GYG Student Leaders
1 Timothy 4:12-13 “Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity. Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation, to teaching.”
Student leaders are individuals that are selected from among the youth group by the Adult Mentors. These individuals serve as role models of Christ to their peers in GYG. They are also involved in many different aspects of the ministry according to their giftedness including event planning, music, teaching, prayer, testimonies, and much more.
Titus 2:2-8 “Older men are to be sober-minded, dignified, self-controlled, sound in faith, in love, and in steadfastness. Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled. Likewise, urge the younger men to be self-controlled. Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity, and sound speech that cannot be condemned, so that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us.”
Adult Leaders serve in many different capacities in the youth ministry at Grace. Their main role is to be involved in the lives of the youth in order to disciple the teens in their walk with Christ. Adult Leaders are responsible for regular attendance to the Wednesday night program, monthly staff meetings, and helping with GYG events and activities.
Grace Youth Group has different events scheduled throughout the year. Events are communicated on this page, Facebook, and also through emails to parents. If you would like more information about events please contact the church office at firstname.lastname@example.org.
