Because of Calvary,
Psalm 30:5 (ESV)
5 For his anger is but for a moment,
and his favor is for a lifetime.
Weeping may tarry for the night,
but joy comes with the morning.
“The saints of God will indeed be in heaviness through manifold temptations whilst they continue in this bad world; but they have good reason…to rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory in the prospect of the unknown joys that lie beyond the grave. The present life is but a single night to their future life; and although sorrow may endure through the whole night, yet joy cometh in the morning; and that joy shall no man take from them.” [George Lawson, The History of Joseph, (London: The Banner of Truth Trust, 1807), p. 25-26]
