Some years back Bing Crosby recorded a song in which he asked whether you would like to be like an animal – a monkey, a mule, a pig – or would you rather swing on a star? Today’s devotional has a similar thought. God bless you.

John 3:3 English Standard Version (ESV)
3 Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again[a] he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
“I hardly know how to explain the great change to some here; but suppose you had been a pig all your life, and that you were suddenly made into a man. Well, now you are a man, you look through a telescope; swine cannot do that. You look through a microscope; I never knew a pig do that in my life. Swine do not talk, but you speak, you sing, you pray, you are quite a different creature from what you were before. It is just so with some of us; we have another life than we ever possessed before, we live in a different world to what we used to live in, we know things that were unknowable to us once, we enjoy what we never had enjoyed, and we have griefs that never occurred to us before we passed from death unto life.”
